Mastering describes high-quality processes, usually hardware-based, in which your valuable recording is adapted to the technical conditions of the target medium, usually the audio CD.

Creative mastering goes one step further: when choosing the steps to be taken in optimizing the sound of your tracks, the musicality and artistic expression of your recording are always the primary criteria.

As creative mastering is also the last link in a chain of audio processes such as recording and mixing, the result can only be as good as the preliminary work done in the recording and mixing stages.

You should therefore check every recording/mix carefully before submitting tracks for mastering; ask other people who have not heard the tracks to act as critical listeners, and always be open to constructive criticism.

This usually produces a better sound result. In most cases, mastering is technically based on the sum or stereo mixing of your recordings. You should therefore always leave the sum of your mix open, i.e. free of EQs, limiters, compressors, any effect, so that these sensitive processes can be carried out effectively with special equipment in the next step.

In all mastering-related steps, we make every effort to remain in contact with you and your recording in order to provide you as our customer with optimum results.
